Barcelona On Guide – Mapping support points for people experiencing homelessness
The Barcelona On Guide is an annual publication developed by the Sant’Egidio community, offering essential information for people experiencing homelessness in the city of Barcelona. Its aim is to promote a more dignified life and facilitate access to support and assistance services.
In collaboration with the community, we participated in the development of the 2025 edition, conducting a new mapping of available services throughout the city. Our challenge was to transform the traditional list format of the guide into a more visual, accessible, and intuitive language.
The solution was the creation of a printed map in a foldable leaflet format, distributed with the guide, along with an interactive digital map, easily accessible via mobile devices and simple to update. This approach aims to support users with clear, direct navigation tailored to their real needs.

This installation, which was part of Barcelona’s Architecture Week, is a prototype developed by Architecture Without Borders. Through an immersive experience, it aims to provoke reflection on the relationship between the individual and public space, and on how the subjective perception of neurodivergence can influence social inclusion.
Neurodivergent people may face challenges in urban and architectural environments due to sensory sensitivity. Factors such as fluorescent lights, saturated colors, constant noise, or strong smells can lead to sensory overload, anxiety, and fatigue.
To simulate an experience similar to that of a neurodivergent person, we used visual and auditory overstimulation to overwhelm the nervous system of a neurotypical person, who would otherwise be able to tolerate and filter environmental stimuli.
